100 BEST MOVIES
of All TIME

by Mr. Showbiz

The Original Mr. Showbiz Website:
  • The original Mr. Showbiz web site established in early 1995, described as "one of the Web's earliest providers of entertainment and celebrity news and information," ceased functioning in late 2001, after it was bought by ABC, and then by Disney - which then shut down the popular site when it restructured its Go.com Internet portal (www.mrshowbiz.go.com).
  • These film list tabulations of the 100 Best Movies of All-Time were made on the Mr. Showbiz Web site, a full year and a half before the American Film Institute announced their own list of 100 Greatest American Movies.
  • The two lists bore many resemblances to each other (Casablanca (1942), Gone With The Wind (1939) and Citizen Kane (1941) made it to the top ten in both lists) and there were a few striking and contrasting differences.
